No, we don't close or winterize pools here. Since the ground doesn't freeze, our weekly service runs for 50 out of 52 weeks. It's because your pool's water chemistry adjusts with the temperature changes and has different needs throughout the year. Our main goal isn't just clean water—it's also protecting your pool's plaster from damage like pitting and etching, as well as safeguarding equipment like your heater from improper chemistry.
Our team regularly attends training and workshops to ensure we're up to speed on installing, servicing, and repairing all major swimming pool heaters, pumps, motors, and automation systems. And you can trust that our work comes with a full warranty.
Langelier Saturation Index. It's a key factor in pool chemistry! Even if your pool's chemistry seems spot-on, the water can still be corrosive or cause scale buildup. That's not good for your equipment, heater, or plaster, and it can lead to some unsightly blemishes in your pool.
But hey, we're not your typical 'shock jocks' who just dump pounds of chlorine every week. Our technicians are trained to take a smarter, long-term approach. We're all about ensuring you get maximum enjoyment from your pool with minimal disruption.
Let's talk about Cyanuric Acid, also known as a conditioner or stabilizer. It's a crucial chemical added to chlorine tabs to protect them from UV rays and keep them stable.
In commercial pools, there's a strict limit of 30-50PPM for Cyanuric Acid. But here's the catch: As Cyanuric Acid levels rise in your pool, it can start to hinder chlorine's ability to sanitize effectively. Once it hits 100PPM or higher, it can even void warranties on your heater and plaster, and cause a spike in chlorine demand. For residential pools, this could mean keeping your chlorine levels at 10PPM or even 15PPM just to keep things safe—an uncomfortable situation for swimming.
So, what's the solution? Dilution! Our technicians rotate chlorine throughout the year and work with you on long-term plans to minimize this effect. And if push comes to shove, we offer a premium package of supplemental sanitizers to reduce your reliance on chlorine alone for pool cleaning.
